Crafting with Lollipops: Gifts for the Holiday Season

The holiday season is quickly approaching as we get into the month of November, and whether you knock out your shopping list early or wait until the last minute, there’s always time to craft something special and unique to give to a loved one!

Here are a few craft ideas that involve Yummy Lix Lollipops as a key ingredient and will showcase your do-it-yourself side this holiday season.

Lollipop Turkey

This craft is a super fun project for little kids, and it also makes for a neat fundraising idea. You can purchase fake autumn leaves at your local craft store and glue them to the back of the lollipop. The leaf is supposed to resemble the feathers of the turkey. A piece of white foam can be used for the turkey’s face, and a red pipe cleaning makes for a great snood. Don’t forget to glue on the googly eyes!

Sucker Wreath

This project is pretty easy, but requires a thoughtful shopping supply list. You can go to any craft supply store and purchase a pine wreath made from PVC, and add your own decorations to it. Think miniature snowflakes, miniature presents, small ornaments, ribbons, and the final touch, lollipops! You can pop the lollipops into gaps on the wreath and fasten them into place. If you want to give your guests a parting gift, you can make an entire wreath from lollipops and hand them out as they leave your holiday party.

Lollipop Bouquet

This project is also fairly easy, but requires attention to detail. The video below discusses each section of the bouquet, starting with painting and decorating the pot. After the pot dries, you can add the bouquet part. You will need to stick the lollipops in a foam sphere to secure them in place. If you want to get really fancy, you can insert fake flowers into the pot, along with the colorful lollipops, so that they blend together. These bouquets would look wonderful as centerpieces at your next family function.
