How To Make Your Own Lollipops

Before making your own lollipops, it is important to have all the ingredients and supplies ready.

Ingredients/ Supplies

• Lollipop molds
• Lollipop sticksgirl holding lolipop
• 1 cup sugar ½ cup light corn syrup
• ¼ cup water
• 1 ½ teaspoon of your choice of extract for flavoring
• Nonstick spray
• Candy thermometer

• Food coloring (optional)


Begin by lightly spraying your candy mold with nonstick spray. Next, place the lollipop sticks inside the molds.
Now, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan on medium-high heat. Once the mixture comes to a boil wipe the sides of the pan with a wet pastry brush. Boil the mixture until it is 300° F. Use the candy thermometer to check the temperature.
Once it reaches 300° F you can turn the heat off and quickly stir in food coloring if you want.
Pour the mixture into the candy molds, this works best if you use a pan that has a spout.
Make sure that you cover the candy stick completely with the mixture, otherwise, the stick could break off.
Allow the candy to cool completely. Once the candy is completely cool you can remove your lollipops by carefully bending the molds to loosen the candy without breaking them.
